“Wedding Portrait”

This portrait was painted for a newly married couple. Yellows and purples were used as a backdrop to bring out their wedding day attire. Broad, heavy brush strokes were used to paint the groom's tuxedo; a balanced contrast to the delicate, airy lines of the bride’s dress. A glowing light surrounds the couple. The viewer’s eye is drawn to the couple’s intermingled hands, as they embrace on this joyous occasion.
